L'archivio Palmas è diviso in cinque parti:

Archivio Milano (1950-1952), comprendente 12.120 negativi formato 6x6 cm.
Archivio Roma (1953-1962), 36.340 negativi 6x6 cm.
Archivio Leica (1959-1977), circa 15.000 negativi 24x36 mm.
Archivio Studio Leica (1963-1966), circa 10.000 negativi 24x36 mm.
Archivio senza provini * (1964-1972), circa 6.000 negativi 24x36 mm.

Per il formato 6x6 Palmas usava una Rolleiflex con pellicole Geavert.
Per il formato 24x36 usava una Leica M2 con pellicole Ilford.

I soggetti fotografati sono oltre 4.500, fra i quali innumerevoli personaggi famosi.
Esiste uno schedario nominativo ordinato alfabeticamente per una facile ricerca.
Tutti i negativi sono provinati a contatto (a parte *). I provini sono raccolti in un totale di 158 cartelle divise per archivio e ordinate cronologicamente.

The Palmas Archive is divided into five parts:

The Rome Archive (1953-62), 36,340 negatives (6x6cm).
The Leica Archive (1959-77), with about 15,000 negatives (24x36mm).
The Leica Studio Archive (1963-66), with about 10,000 negatives (24x36mm).
The Archive without contact prints* (1964-72), with 6,000 negatives (24x36 mm).

For 6x6 format Palmas used a Rolleiflex with Gevaert films.
For 24x36 format used a Leica M2 with Ilford films.

There are over 4,500 photographed subjects, including many celebrities.
The subjects are listed alphabetically for easy research.
All negatives have contact prints (except *). The contact prints are arranged
in a total of 158 files divided by archive and chronologically ordered.
